While I drew this piece with charcoal, I had just started going on disability. I was dealing with a lot depression and anger. All I wanted to do was disappear or make the world disappear. Major life changes affect us so greatly, sometimes all we can do is show how we feel.

Another old face of depression. I was experiencing an extreme amount of stress and anxiety. I felt like a mess. This piece was an opportunity to share how work and life stress can make you feel like even a small breeze can disrupt and echo our core. At times of extreme stress, we can barely hold it together and wish that all our stress and anxiety would just blow away.

This piece is a study on female form. I use this pose and looking away a lot in my work. I have no problem painting or drawing faces, I only have this connection or draw to hiding, looking away, looking back, or looking forward. growing up, I experienced a lot of ridicule about my freckles, facial hair, red cheeks, and red hair. This insecurity has become relevant in most my work.
